Eleonore Desnos Age? 18
What do you do? I'm working in East London; in a second-hand
store on Redchurch Street that has just opened. We sell records;
fashion and furniture.
What are you loving right now? the summer coming
What inspires you? my job, finding original pieces from the 50's, 60's and the 70's and make them look fantastic in my shop.
What do you love about London? the eclectic people, the markets and their great deals, the music scene, the fashion.
What 3 places are a must for those visiting London? Tate Modern, East London (brick lane and shoreditch) and Portobello market
Fav TV Show? The Simpson's
What's your most loved gadget? Sunglasses
In your opinion what are the powerful brands in the world right now?
cheap brands like H&M or Topshop and rising ones like April 77 or
Cheap Monday. Even if these get their inspiration from bigger brands;
they get success because they are affordable and the pieces well cut.
What's the most interesting place you've visited in the last 12 months? a farm to renovate in the north of France
What's your fav city in the world and why? London, there's something amazing about the city.
If you could fill your wardrobe with the collection of any fashion designer in the world, who would it be and why? Tom Ford.

Stella Rose Saint Clair Age: 20
What do you do? Fashion really. I draw pinups, make music,
dabble in burlesque and street art, but its all just for fashions sake.
I make clothes, and not in school or anything, oh, I also work at a movie theater...a haunted one.
What are you loving right now? Sequins, long hair, fifties dresses, and rare music.
What inspires you? Girlie things. Bows, curls, lace, the
color pink. People like Nina Hagen who aren’t afraid to look like a big
drag queen once in a while, and people who make everybody uncomfortable
without really trying.
What do you love about Seattle? I love how gay Seattle is and I
love how many outlets there are for artists. The mayor is trying to
change all that right now. Buildings all over Capitol Hill (the
"artsiest" and "gayest" part of the city) are being torn down to be
replaced by horrible ugly condos that cost upwards of $500,000 dollars.
All the independent businesses are being put out now. All the artists
are slowly being replaced by middle aged yuppies who go to their condo
gyms everyday to work off their expensive steak dinners made by some
working class kid who they consider unfavorable even though that kid is
the reason this area is so trendy and appealing to them in the first
place! I'm currently waiting for a revolt. Like involving torches and
pitchforks. I have neither of these things in my possession, therefore
someone else gets to start it...
What 3 places are a must for those visiting Seattle? FOOD comes first. Try my vegan suggestions of:
The Wayward Cafes greasy diner food (worker owned and operated!)
Hillside Quickie vegan soul food or for cheepies you'll find me at Than Brothers Pho, or an Ethiopian joint!
for FASHION check out:
Atlas Clothing for your hilarious eighties fix (at a bargain!)
The Pretty Parlor for your handmade with love indie designer fashions.
And check out local brand Hipposchemes online!
And third most, for FUN go do these things:
See local electro shock rock act Sexually Active Corpse, before he too is pushed out of the city.
Go to a midnight movie at the Egyptian theater. Cult classics galore and a staff who doesn't care how drunk you are.
Go shopping at "the bins" in Georgetown. The lowest of the low in the
goodwill shopping circuit. Enjoy sifting through plastic troughs of
random crap! What goodies will you pull out?? An awesome old "care
bear" suitcase like the one I found? Or the soiled Santa themed
corduroy toilet seat cover my boyfriend proceeded to wear as a mask?
Its like playing go fish
with your childhood and s.t.d.s! And its priced per pound!
Do you read magazines/newspapers, if so, which? I like "fruits and street" magazine. I like fashion magazines. I like pretty pictures...
Any websites you read on a regular basis? I'm partial to this one at the moment.
What TV shows do you enjoy watching? Mrs. Mouth! Always! (the New Yorkers know)
What's your most loved gadget? My sewing machine.
In your opinion what are the powerful brands in the world right now? Aww,
you know. The most awful ones always. Mc. Donald's, Disney, The Gap
etc.,Coca-Cola, Wal-Mart, oil and cigarette company's. All that all
American stuff. You know, the lamest, the most normal. Like its normal
to kill things and poison people and take their money and stuff I
guess. Its
familiar, those brands. Like they're comforting once you forget how much they're screwing us over.
What's the most interesting place you've visited in the last 12 months? The crack alley out my back window. Who needs to watch cops when its all happening right outside!
What's your fav city in the world and why? I like cities
with history. Vie lived in both Manhattan and Amsterdam. In Manhattan
every street has a story, and in Amsterdam every street has a whore
house!
If you could fill your wardrobe with the collection of any fashion designer in the world, who would it be and why?
Oh Betsey Johnson most definitely. I cant turn down fluorescent lace
and ribbons and wouldn't she just make the coolest grandma ever?
Who are you listening to on your iPod? The Shangrilas, GG Allin, and Marsha Gees "Peanut Duck" ps. the shing-a-ling aint the thing...quack quack PEANUT DUCK!
What can't you live without? Liquid eyeliner, tofu, and my journals. Because i need to be fabulous, and filled with protein and memories!
What question should we ask the next person? Why is
(street) fashion important to you? And my answer to that is: Artists
should not only make art but become the art themselves. Like, instead
of people making art, art making art. Get it? Telling the world what
your about just by walking down the street. What are you telling people
by wearing what everyone else
is wearing? Your scared? You want to be invisible? Your body is a blank
canvas. Why repaint an old familiar Mona Lisa when you can paint
something new and exciting? And who says threes nowhere to go when
their all dressed up? And who says the street isn't a fine gallery?
psha...
By the year 2010, you will be what/where? I will be a
sixties girl group singing', drag queen look-in', occasionally
stripping', pinup music sensation with a fashion line to boot! Look out!

side."
What question should we ask the next person? If you had someone play you in a film, who would it be?

What is it called? Children's Answers to Everything - It will be released in April.
What was the best answer a kid gave you and what did you ask?
I loved all the answers, it would be to hard to select one. I asked
them all sorts of things from what it means to be a hero, what they
believe about God, what makes the stars twinkle and so on.
What are you loving right now? Who or what inspires you? Children inspire me, obviously and I am loving being an auntie to my four-month-old niece.

If you could fill your wardrobe with the collection of any fashion designer in the world, who would it be?
Any fashion designer that felt even the slightest inclination to fill
my wardrobe with their collection would be more than fine by me.
Anything that meant I didn't have to shop for clothes would be also be
ideal.
In your opinion what are the powerful brands in the world right now? Any brand that has a monopoly and influence on the media.
What's the most interesting place you've visited in the last 12 months? Wilson's Promontory in Victoria, it's stunning.
What 3 places are a must for those visiting Sydney?
The walk from Circular Quay through the Botanic Gardens to Lady
Macquaries Chair, and then maybe catch a ferry to Watsons Bay or Manly.
The Bondi to Bronte walk or anything to do with the beaches or the
Harbour is also great, but it's hard to choose because Sydney is an
amazing city.
What can't you live without? May I never find out.
What's your fav city in the world and why?
Other than Sydney, New York and Milan because they are the cities I
have spent the most time in and they hold such amazing memories.
What can we do to become more socially conscious of our environment? I
think the best thing we can do is to educate ourselves and make
ourselves aware of the issues that are facing our environment. For
example, watching a movie like An Inconvenient Truth is a good start. And with this awareness, we should look to be making the changes necessary on a daily basis.
Do you have any words of wisdom? Write to someone who inspires you
Do you have a myspace account? No
